EXCLUSIVE: Anupam Kher shares a beautiful story behind the viral photo of ‘class of 90s’ feat Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol

In June 2023, actor Anupam Kher had shared a couple of pictures from Karan Deol’s wedding. It was a legendary photo as we could see all the talented actors together in one frame. In the photo, Anupam was seen posing with Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol and Dharmendra. As soon as the pics were shared on social media, they went viral in not time.

Sharing the photos, the Chalbaaz actor captioned, “Class of 90s. Actors from a pre mobile phones and vanity vans era. When we shared stories! When we shared make up rooms, When we changed costumes in open, behind trees and umbrellas and laughed….. Still going strong, Still reinventing, Still matter!! Anupam Kher shares story behind the viral photo of class of 90s

However, during a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Kher revealed a story behind taking the photo with the 90s stars. During a game segment, when a picture of Anupam Kher with Dharmendra Ji, Sunny Deol, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan from the wedding of Karan Deol, Sunny Deol’s elder son was shown, Kher shared his passion for creating memories.

He told us, “I guess this is from Sunny’s son’s wedding. This was a rare time when all of us were there together in one frame. I thought of utilizing this opportunity to get a picture of us. Also because this was someone’s marriage everyone around was very happy. By accident I got a position of standing between all of them, I felt this was the best moment to take a picture and it would be very important as well. I always look at my life as if it were an autobiography, that’s why I capture moments. I feel today I met someone, and that it should be a memory, people get surprised when I ask them for a picture. So I respond, if I need to write an autobiography with this picture then we must take a picture together.”

Anupam Kher shares how Shah Rukh Khan used to improvise his scenes

When shown a picture of Anupam Kher when he shot DDLJ, he said, “This is from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge and the other one is from Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai. I think this is from the scene when he comes home after failing university. This is an iconic scene, also the time when my father celebrated my fears, my real father celebrated my fears and also Shah Rukh is very good with letting everybody improvise. He is on for improvising, he made changes on the spot. So the dialogue went like Hum toh Hindustan main fail huye the tune toh London main fail hoke dikhaaya. This one is with Salman, from Tumsa Nahi Dekha, now I feel all these pictures are just different and I am the only one who looks the same everywhere. Be it with grey hair, no hair.”
